Changing the cover

A fresh cover in a few simple steps.

Unzip the cover, lift it away and fit the fresh one. The bed stays where it is.

  1. Unzip the cover.
  2. Lift it away from the bed.
  3. Wash, dry and fit the fresh cover.

Care and maintenance

Made for wash day.

Unzip it, wash it, and put the spare on while it dries.

  1. Open the hidden zip and take the cover off.
  2. Machine wash the cover on its own, cold and delicate, at no more than 30°C.
  3. Tumble dry on low heat, or air dry.
  4. Do not bleach and do not iron.
  5. Only the cover is washed. The mattress stays in the bed.

Follow the care label sewn into the cover. Nothing inside the bed is removed or handled.

    Fabulous replacement dog bed cover

    My dog LOVES her orthopaedic dog bed - she has had surgery on both knees over the last few years and it really provides her with support and comfort. However, I wanted to change the colour of the cover and was delighted to see that a beautiful shade of green had been introduced to the range which goes perfectly with our kitchen colour scheme! The new cover is even better than the previous one - the fabric feels lovely and it was very easy to remove the old cover (which we’ll keep as a spare) and put on the new cover. Love Baker & Bray products and will continue to buy from them whenever we need anything for our dog :)

    We recently purchased some spare covers for our Ultimate Eco Friendly Orthopaedic Luxury Dog bed, so Archie never has to wait to have his bed back while I’m washing the other covers!   • Interchangeable bed cover

    The orthopaedic luxury dog bed is so well made & comfy for my pooch that I splashed out & ordered a spare cover which is just as well made & an excellent idea. I got the bed as I needed a smaller bed for my 18 month old puppy after losing his older brother quite suddenly. My pup appears to be very comfortable in it & it’s the perfect size but I often find him sleeping in their old bed which is now in another room as it still has the scent of his brother. I would definitely recommend this bed with the option of replacement covers.

Is this a complete dog bed?

No. This is the cover only. The Ultimate bed, its mattress and filling are not included.

What is included?

The interchangeable cover, in the colour and size you choose. Nothing that goes inside the bed is included: the mattress stays in the Ultimate you already own.

Does it fit The Comfort?

No. These covers are cut for The Ultimate only. The Comfort and The Donut have their own covers.

How do I know which cover size I need?

Choose the same size as the Ultimate you already own. The size is on the label sewn into the bed, and on your order confirmation. The dimensions of each size are listed on the product page.

How do I change the cover?

Open the hidden zip that runs along the base and lift the cover away from the bed. Fit the fresh one the same way. Nothing inside the bed is handled.

Can the cover be tumble dried?

Yes, on low heat. Air drying also works and is gentler on the fabric.

Can I use the bed while the cover is being washed?

That is exactly what a spare is for: put the second cover on and wash the first.
